The White Peacock restaurant
The White Peacock opens for lunch Monday to Saturday from 12pm offering our Lunch Menu in addition to our A la carte & Tasting Menus.
To make a reservation you can select one of the following options:
1. Call 0116 254 7663 between 11:00-17:00 (Phones manned)
2. Book online through the link on our website (maximum parties of 6)
3. Email your requested reservation with a contact telephone number to firstname.lastname@example.org and we can book it in for you and send you a confirmation by email.
4. Leave a short message on our answer machine with your name, number, requested date and time and we will call you back.
You will receive a confirmation call 1-2 days before your reservation to check for last minute changes and requests. If we cannot reach you by phone, an automated confirmation email will be sent through our on-line reservation diary for those who have provided and email address.
LATE BOOKINGS & CANCELLATION POLICY
Some circumstances can't be helped but if you’re running late please call ahead, we really appreciate it. If guests are running late, the original booking time may no longer be available but we will endeavour to seat you at the next available time slot that does not disrupt service or affect other guests. If you can no longer need your reservation we ask that you call or email at the earliest convenience so we can offer the table to other customers. Our tables are in high demand at weekends and NO SHOWS result in loss of revenue for our small business. A waiting list is in operation. Regarding cancellations on the day, pre-ordered food will be charged at full price.
12-17 year olds are welcome to dine in the restaurant until 8PM. Children must remain seated at all times. We do not have the facilities to accommodate for babies and young children, there for the restaurant is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. (For family/special occasions, please speak to the General Manager who can advise accordingly regarding young children) The bar is strictly over 18s. We operate a Challenge 25 and a No I.D, No Sale policy to ensure we are in keeping with the Licensing Regulations.
The White Peacock encourages guests to dress up when dining and operates a dress code in the restaurant and bar. A smart dress code is upheld in the Restaurant during lunch and dinner service, however, dinner jackets are not compulsory but we think they look lovely. The bar operates a smart/casual dress code. However baseball hats, trainers, sportswear and fashion jeans are not permitted in any public areas (Leicester Tigers rugby tops are allowed in the bar only on match days in addition to the smart/casual attire)
LARGE PARTY BOOKINGS
The White Peacock Restaurant can cater for parties of up 50 guests for a sit down dinner for both leisure and corporate occasions. Struggling with pre-orders? Our 6 course taster menu eliminates the need for your guests to pre-order so you can look forward to your evening rather than trying to remembering who had the 'pate'. Starting from only £32.50pp. Dietary alternatives available.
PRE-ORDERS & DEPOSITS
Parties of 8 or more ordering from the A la carte menus are asked to pre-order their meal choices. Produce is ordered and prepared daily and to ensure guests first choices, pre-orders will be requested a minimum of 3 days prior to reservation. A deposit of £10pp is required to secure the booking. Due to high demand for tables we cannot hold tables for more than 7 days provisionally with out a deposit. Deposits will be deducted from the final bill on the night. Deposits will be returned in full if more than 48hrs notice is given. A Service charge of 10% is added to bills for parties of 8+ of which our waiting and kitchen team receive. Regarding cancellations on the day, pre-ordered food will be charged at full price.
